Version: 1.0 Published: 28 August 2026 Effective: 28 August 2026
1. Scope and roles
These terms apply to members who search for or book a stay through GoMyRoof. They supplement the Terms of Use, the cancellation policy and the information shown before confirmation.
The accommodation is offered and supplied by the host identified in the listing. The host is the traveler's contracting party for the stay. GoMyRoof supplies search, contact, booking, payment and evidence tools and does not create or sell a package holiday within this scope.
2. Information to check
Before confirming, the traveler must check the host's displayed status, the description and location, the selected room or bed configuration, dates and times, guest numbers, price and currency, services and equipment, tourist tax, payment method, cancellation deadline and maximum amount that may become due, and the house rules. Any inconsistency should be reported before booking.
3. When a booking is formed
A booking is formed only when the required process is complete and confirmation is displayed or sent:
- online payment is available only for a professional host and requires Stripe payment confirmation;
- on-site payment is mandatory for an individual host and optional for a professional host; it requires Stripe card verification, acceptance of any permitted later charge and booking confirmation.
A technical pending record, an abandoned process or an incomplete card check is not a confirmed booking.
4. Price and currency
The contractual total, currency and components are shown before confirmation. They may include accommodation, bedding configuration, services, pricing rules and a flexible option. A displayed conversion may be indicative; the contractual amount is the one confirmed in the stated currency. The traveler's bank may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
5. Online payment
Online payment is available only for listings from professional hosts who enable it. Stripe processes the payment. GoMyRoof never receives or stores the full card number or security code. Additional authentication may be requested.
The booking is paid only after Stripe confirmation. During delayed confirmation, the traveler should follow the page instructions and not start repeated payments.
6. On-site payment and card guarantee
For an individual host, on-site payment is the only available method. A professional host may also enable it. The accommodation price is paid directly to the host and is not charged by GoMyRoof at booking.
A card guarantee verified by Stripe remains mandatory. The traveler authorizes an off-session charge only in the cases, currency, deadline and maximum amount expressly displayed and accepted, including late cancellation or no-show. No other charge may rely on that authorization.
7. Arrival and stay
The traveler must respect arrival and departure times, occupancy, house rules, safety and the peace of the premises. A code or other arrival mechanism may confirm attendance; it does not replace the amount payable to the host on site. A serious issue should be reported promptly with proportionate evidence, allowing the host a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.
8. Cancellation, refund and no-show
The policy displayed and frozen with the booking determines the deadlines and amounts. Cancellation must be recorded through the account process. A late cancellation or no-show may result in retaining an amount already paid or charging the on-site card guarantee within the accepted limit.
If the host cancels a stay they cannot provide, the traveler is not treated as the cancelling party.
9. Tourist tax
Tourist tax is separate from the accommodation amount processed by GoMyRoof and is paid directly to the host. For an individual host, the accommodation price is also paid on site. Every host must accept responsibility for collecting the tax from the traveler and remitting it to the competent local authority.
The host remains responsible for local rates, exemptions and filings. This arrangement cannot override any mandatory rule that becomes directly applicable to GoMyRoof.
10. Withdrawal right
The fourteen-day withdrawal right does not apply to accommodation supplied on a specified date or period. The cancellation policy accepted with the booking applies.
11. Documents and messages
Confirmations, receipts and platform invoices may be emailed and made available in the account. A platform payment receipt does not necessarily replace the accommodation invoice that the host must issue when legally required.
12. Complaints and liability
Contact contact@gomyroof.com with the booking reference, facts and useful evidence. The host is responsible for supplying compliant accommodation; GoMyRoof is responsible for its own platform services; and the traveler is responsible for their declarations, conduct and attributable damage. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
